OEM blades fitted - awful

A few months ago I replaced the aging, retrofit aero-style blades that were on my Z4 with a set of OEM Bosch blades with the correct crescent-moon shaped passenger side blade. After a week they started squeaking badly, and now the passenger blade is bumping down the screen with each wipe :headbang:

I've cleaned them repeatedly with a little bit of car shampoo and water but still they squeak; also the driver-side blade sits off the windscreen (in the middle of the screen) - it's fine when it sweeps, but leaves a bigger dirty triangle at the bottom of the screen than the it should. It also seems to have a manufacture defect as it leaves 3 beads of water right in the middle of the screen with each wipe (no debris on the screen, I've checked repeatedly).

Is there a way to adjust the wiper arms? I'm thinking maybe the passenger side is being pushed into the screen too much which is causing the bumping. I did have the arms off a few months ago to clean the motor and grease the linkage, I sinched them back up but maybe I've overtightened them? Alternatively, what are people's suggestions for alternative blades? I had read other threads where people heaped praise on the OEM blades (hence I got them) - maybe i just got a bad set.

Check the blade is perpendicular to the screen. I had this, the arm had bent a bit over time to the blade wasn't sitting at 90 degrees to the screen.

Also check the edge of the rubber blade is flipping over as it goes up and down the screen. If it doesn't it will judder

i get this all the time on my drivers side. it winds me u something awful but i never take two minutes to sort it out

I have always used Bosch aero wipers, never an issue. Does sound ( as above ) that the wiper blade is not 90 degrees to the glass.

My Zed had had standard type blades when I bought it, these use to shudder down the screen. I fitted aero type blades and they are so smooth.

The OEM bosch blades are not the same as the OE BMW ones (made by bosch :D )

Replaced whatever was on it and have had Bosch Aerotwin from about a week after I got the car.

Never had any issues.

Thanks everyone; had another look at the arms this morning and nothing seems amiss; I did try tweaking the driver side one a bit (mine has a really pronounced 'tent' profile when looking at it from the drivers' seat - is this normal?) but I only made it worse, so did my best to reset everything back to how it was before.

Think for the relatively little cost I'll order a set of Aerotwins; I've had them on all my previous cars and never an issue; main reason I went looking for the original bosch set was for the curved passenger side blade, as the old wipers sat a few inches off the windscreen at the passenger far end.

Best to go genuine BMW as opposed to OEM or even Aerotwins (unless you want the last inch sitting proud of the windscreen).

So where can you get the OEM BMW blades? Do you have to get them through a dealer direct? TBH I thought the set direct from bosch were the OEM items.
