odo issue

This happened twice this morning, the mileage display and gear display both dimmed to the point that you couldnt see them. I covered the light sensor on the auto light switch and they came back bright again. Anybody got any ideas as to what causes this or is my auto light switch on the blink :?

Hi, I've had this before & think its caused by sunlight shining directly on the sensor by the light switch making the display change unexpectedly :?

I did think that could be the issue where it cant make its mind up. Will have to see if it does it this evening on the way home
