Oddiments Tray Leather Trimmed

Hi all,

I've been planning to trim my MFSW button surround in leather soon. As prep I decided to have a go at my oddiments tray. It was a bit tatty and thought a layer of leather might set it off nicely, plus I'm yet to see someone do this, so a level of uniqueness for the car.

I took photos of the rough process but essentially I just made it up, having no experience - so here's the finished item fitted. Bottom line is contact adhesive and many an hour with some leather and a craft knife. In hindsight I should have opted for thinner leather, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Cheers,

Barny

Lets see a picture of the underside, would like to see how you secured it around the edges.

Realised I didn't actually end up taking a photo of the underside... However, it's just folded under the edge and glued in place with contact adhesive. Just enough material to go over the edge without interfering with the ridges that clip it into place.

A few snips into the leather on the corners to make sure it folds over fairly cleanly. Hope that helps
