Odd leak - Any advice/suggestions?

Well I say leak, I'm not getting any actual fluid on my driveway, however I noticed this when it was up on the ramp getting aligned >

I'm not getting any obvious symptoms. Am I correct in assuming this is the rear diff?

That is the rear diff yes

Is it like that at the other side?

Could be the output shaft oil seal.

Or anyone with a 3.0si that can take a picture of theirs? Just a simple photo behind the rear wheels, No need to lay under the car or anything, just trying to establish if this is normal or not...!

Hi,

No photos - but I can tell you I have no oil on my diff casing, has anybody changed or topped up the diff in the past and maybe spilt some , trans oil seems to stick like glue and spread it's self around much more than motor oil.

My si is also dry around the rear diff, bit of misting won't hurt it but if it becomes bad enough to start dripping I would get the seal replaced.
