OD & OE Power Window Fault Codes

I've got two codes OD Power Window & OE Power Window codes showing on my code reader. From some research it seems to be a problem with the module under the passenger seat getting wet? GM5 module? I moved the seat all the way forward and lifted the carpets. They're bone dry so no water ingress causing faults there?

I did a Window reset as my drivers Window wasn't closing after putting the roof down and that is fixed now.

Any ideas what might be going on? I'm a bit stumped now.

Could well be the GM5, but you were slightly misled. It sits up behind the glovebox. Take the footwell panel out and look up. It's about 6 inches long by 2 inches wide, white plastic with three large plugs. Mounted on a metal bracket.
Easiest way to get it out is to undo the two black plastic 10mm nuts that hold the bracket to the car body, then lower it out so you can see better how to undo the plugs.

Before stripping out the GM5, is it possible to check its this that's causing the issue? I'm currently using a C310+. Would something a bit more sophisticated (I'm thinking INPA cable and a laptop) tell me what the codes are being thrown for?

I’m not sure you’ll see much more tbh.
Where are you? May be someone you can borrow a gm5 from to check

Okay thanks martin. I'll try and drop it this week and have a look.

Just out of curisity, what do thos codes actually mean? Both my windows go up and down automatically now since resetting the drivers one.

Are you saying it's all working as advertised?
If so i'd leave it well alone.

Yeah I think so. My windows go up and down now automatically even after putting the roof down since I did the reset. They sometimes come down when I open the door but it goes back up when I close the door. This is because of the stretchy door cable that I haven't fixed yet.

That was going to be my next point is why bother. Glad you have the same thought process .
