Hi guys & gals, just joined. I have a 2013 Z4 S35i. I am a director of a ceramic sealant company and my car has been done with our aquacoat pro recently, by one of my co-directors - video below. If it’s allowed, could admin also contact me about sponsoring the detailing section?

Cost is £105, however there’s 20% off just now, which applies at checkout. Without naming brands, it’s basically a different formulation that is made in Korea and very popular there - we have started importing it about 6 months ago, after trialling it for a year. It creates a more flexible coating that can absorb energy whilst still being 9h hard. It’s not all about hardness levels.

The difference between this and others is that it’s designed to still have 80% of the active coating after 2 years, vs 10-20% for others. However the proof is in seeing it. It dries in 2 hours and it can be applied outdoors too.

This is essentially a high end product that gives amazing shine / gloss levels and a full two years when applied. There are also pro level applications that last 5 years.

Sorry chaps, as I’ve just joined, I can’t send pm’s - only receive. We have three bases - one in Lancashire, one in Surrey and one in Essex. We also have a network of pro-detailers who use our ceramic coatings, if anyone would like it done for them.

We are also happy to organise a Z4 forum detailing day in Essex or at a member’s location if arranged for a detailing meet.

However, as per my first post, I’d like admin’s permission to continue.

Do you supply any detainers in Lincolnshire? I have the same car as you in the same colour.

IMO might need to be more price competitive with many 'known' brands at a similar price...but 2-3 cars per bottle is a pretty decent I guess.

I understand what you’re saying, however, the CNS ceramics are more in line with the ‘pro’ level ceramics and as you’ve noticed you can do two cars at least with one bottle. They’ve been developed over a 20 year period to be as good as / better than some of the professional applied only ranges available, but much easier to apply.

We believe that it’s not beyond any competent car owner to do it, hence why we like to do car detailing demo days up & down the country to show you how to do it. The application process on a Z4 will take about 15-20 mins, the only proviso being that the paintwork is up to a high standard before application. Overall you can save a lot more and learn how simple it can be to do.

As part of our demo days, we show:

How to machine correct paint defects / scratches

How to hand correct paint defects / scratches

How to apply aquacoat or ceramic king

How to safely wash & maintain your car

Hi, I have looked at your website which states that after mixing the two bottles you can coat 2 to 3 cars. It also states that the mix will only last 7 days. Those that only have one car will not be able to use the rest of the mix. What is your solution to this problem without involving trying to sell it on?

I don’t have a solution for that, aqua coat pro was developed to have a 2 hour drying time, which makes it unique. This means it can be applied outdoors (as long as there is no rain expected for 2 hours after application), it can also be applied down to 2c. The side effect of that is that as soon as the bottles are opened, the solution will begin to harden.

Bear in mind that you can also do your wheels and exterior plastics with it, which means you do not need to buy separate wheel / plastics ceramic sealants. You can even do your exhaust tips, as it is also high temperature resistant.

Aqua coat pro is highly resistant to chemicals, brake dust, etc and it is also thicker than most of the non-pro coatings that are available, which is what will give you a high gloss / wet look finish.

As I’ve said, we will be doing various demo days and we’re happy to show you.

If this is still an issue for you, then we have our ceramic king, which will last for at least 6 months after opening, but does need to be cured indoors for at least 12 hours, preferably longer - 24 hours.

That would be great chaps, I’m ready to organise. Hopefully admin will get in touch and I can do something. I don’t want to be breaking rules.

Me too, for an Essex demo!

So BeeMmm, if you’d like to organise something for April, I’d certainly come over as the Zed’ll be de-SORN’d then... & as a suggestion maybe one of the quieter undercover car parks in lakeside... just in case it rains... unless you know somewhere better

I'll be happy to host a detailing meet in the Spring - just near Braintree on a Saturday, if there's interest. We can take up to 20 Z4's for parking.
