Was at my mate's place Fri (for beer festival) and Sat for a discussion about potential mods for my car for next year, and I think we've settled on Bilstein B16/PSS10 with Ridetronic & IRC if we can get Bilstein to do a custom job for us like they did for my M5.

Anyway, we were just picking up a customer's car from the workshop and I noticed a nice looking R8 parked next to the usual Italian exotica.


Asked my mate why it was in there and he simply said 'look closer'.

So I looked a little closer and noticed the bit of modding that had been done...


Not much chance of keeping up with that methinks

I would imagine that to be seriously quick but surely soft tops are for posing so I don't quite see the point!

Without wanting to plug a company, evolve are prototyping a supercharger kit to take on ess, similar power to byrons, would be cool to see a comparison....

That's the plan, but whilst I know Evolve are well-respected, my mate really wants to have a go at doing mine.

They've done Lambos and Ferraris, have access to an engine dyno, and the workshop/skills to rebuild everything in-house, so we'll see.

It'll all depend on funds...as always...and whether I can get insurance for it as a daily driver.
