Obd reader connection issue

Hi

I have bought a very generic OBD reader from euro car parts, I plug it into the car turn the ignition on and the unit starts up and starts to look for protocols. It then after a while throws up connection issue, I have read online this can be a fuse blown but struggling to find which one. It looks like it could be fuse 25 but if anyone knows off the top of their head that would be great! I will be checking through them tonight.

Thanks

So I have just tried out fuse 25 and looks to be ok, not even sure it’s the correct one.

Tried the reader on my 2019 T-roc and 2012 fiesta and it works fine so must be the z4 with the issue.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Is it advertised to work with BMW’s of that age?

Here is the box, I kind of went off the fact it says all models 1996 onwards. The protocol for my car 2009 e85 2.0 should be KWP according to the net which it says it does. Had another play with some of the other fuses and all looks good. I am totally stuck for answers now

If you’ve turned the ignition on and it doesn’t work still then not much else you can do. Get a refund and try something else, Carly will probably be able to do what you want and more though at extra cost I imagine.
