That Carly software for iOS looks really good! Anyone know if it works with other aftermarket wifi based OBD readers? Or just their own?
I've tried it with an aftermarket wifi OBD reader and it dose not work. Looks like you have to buy there one. Not sure what makes it any different.

Damn. That makes it very expensive for a few small tweaks :(

Thought I would ask in here rather than start a new topic

- how easy it with one of these softwares to turn off the airbag light? Mine is on after removing the steering wheel and MOT is coming up.

I have Carly for Android -I use it on an old Acer Tablet - works great. You do NOT need their cable. You just need a 'correct' cable, not one of the many cheapos on Ebay. If you do a search you will find the right cable in many threads about coding.
Here's one: http://www.bmw-driver.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30550
I use the K+ D CAN USB cable with the adaptor (that bridges pins 7 & 8 or something). Never had a problem with it on INPA, NCS Expert, and now Carly.
I think this is the one I bought http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/shop/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=16. Yes it's more expensive than the Ebay specials, BUT IT WORKS 100% (at least for me).
I coded my angel eyes as DRL's - they work great, but since the Angels are wired to the sidelights, I guess I'm just using sidelights as DRL's.

I'm not looking for a cable as no iOS device has a USB port.
I need a Wifi OBD dongle that will work with it.

I use a K-Line cable and a "micro usb to female usb" adaptor with my android tablet. You can get "lightning to female usb" adaptors that might be worth a try.

I'm not interested in cables and wires tbf.
I already have a Wifi (iOBD2) dongle at work that I can use, however as my car is away at the moment, I can't test the software. Was hoping someone might be using this software with a similar generic Wifi OBD tool.

Guess I'll just have to be patient and try it once the car is back :)

I have the android version of Mycarly and from what I can see I only have the options of Bluetooth or cable. Seems the wifi option is only available on the iOS version or I could have tested it for you.

Yeah, iOS is weird like that. Stuff what other platforms use Bluetooth for, iOS seems to prefer using Wifi for.
Although wifi has a much higher sample rate when data logging.

us sidemarkers can be coded via ncsexpert in ALSZ module, Dimmed turn signals as side markers

"DRL_BLK_VORN_GEDIMMT = nicht_aktiv
DRL_BLK_VORNE_2_GEDIMMT =aktiv
SIDEMARKER_US = aktiv
DRL_DIMMUNG = Wert 02
GEDIMMT_BLK_BEGRENZ_LICHT = aktiv
BLK_DIMMEN = aktiv"
