Free to anyone going to Zedfest this weekend,i've had no luck getting this to work so have decided to call it a day so if your interested just let me know.

You will need 35GB of space on your HDD for this to work.

Llook at this forum http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=75. Prior to seeing this I bought a lead and software from eBay and got it working but felt very vunerable as there wasnt any support.

I have purchased a copy of the BM Technic version of the software (same in essance as the others but a 'one click' install and a 'control centre' to load the software for use) and their cable http://bmtechnic.co.uk/ as they will support the installations and also (to a degree) support the use of the software. Especially with the 'How to' guides.

Loads of help and support from Chris at BM Technic

Good luck

Norman

Hi

If it's the same as this, then I already have one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370624888679

If it's any other type, then I'd love to have a chance to try it out. I'll be at Zedfest.

It is the same as the one in the link.

That sound more like it "one click install"

I have the same cable as you and was about to sling my laptop out of the window. As a final check I took the cable apart and found they'd made a hash of bridging two pins with a lump of solder and created a dry joint. One tap of a fingernail and it fell off

I put a bridge wire in as a replacement and everything started working. Check yours out, it's a 5 minute job to dismantle it. The bridged pins are obvious.

Might be me being daft but could the software be installed on an external hard drive? This way, someone that knows what they are doing could maybe make a bit of cash and save us people that don't know what we are doing some despair?

From experience of the more common system and the BM Technic one (no connection just a satisified customer) the above approach is un-necessary as the BM Technic one is as easy as plugginging in an external drive. Dont forget there must be changes made to the PC/laptop to enable the software to run i.e. enviroment settings and the drivers for the interface cable and these are build in to the BM Technic approach.

HI Norman, the link to BM Technic is an interesting one - makes far more sense to install in that way. You said you subsequently more the BM tecnic software, I assume you needed their lead as well, ie it will not work with the lead you orignally bought.....which frustratingly I only bought on Tuesday. :(
