Wazzman sent me an email about replacing the Upstream O2 sensors and wondered if I could write up a How-To.
Since I am up in CT. and do not have my Zed with me, I cannot do this...
BUT
On the M54 engine you do not need to remove the exhaust manifolds. That would be a PITA....
You just need a O2 sensor socket. You can get one for about $15.00 at most auto parts stores.. 99% of all O2 sensors are uniform in size so one O2 sensor socket fits all. The difference between this socket and a regular socket is that the socket is split so you can fit the socket over sensor and get the sensor wire out of the way...

The fit is tight but once you slip on the O2 sensor socket over the O2 sensor, they come off very easily, and go back in rather easily also.
