O2 Sensor & HO2S

Hi All,

Just had the Diagnostics read on my Z (Cleared, ran the car for a few miles and re-scanned) and it has come up with the following:

P0158 - O2 Sensor circuit high voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0036 - HO2S Heater control circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0056 HO2S Heater control circuit bank 2 sensor 2

Anyone had similar error codes with their Zed? (2004 3.0i) Does they have multiple sensors Pre & Post cat?

Mick.

What engine have you got? Mine (N52) has two pre and two post sensors. One of mine (post) has broken. Heating element has gone so need to replace. Booo. Expensive as I will only by oem Bosch sensors as its not worth the risk with after market when it comes to these.

I have a 2004 3.0i which I believe is the M54? Although I'd imagine both variants have the same amount of sensors? maybe?

Can't say I had ever heard of the 'heater control circuit' before so scratching my head a little here!

I think they have a heated element that's supposed to burn off any deposits so they can read exhaust gasses correctly. Mine is broken because I'm stupid and dropped the sensor in a tub of oil when I had it out! :headbang:

If your throwing that many codes it might be worth checking if you have an air leak in the system somewhere. I've heard the intake boots can split so worth having a dig around.

Ah, that's annoying dropping the bugger! Will defo check for air leaks.

Does anyone know where the heat circuit is fused? I'm assuming under the bonnet somewhere?
