Did another trip past the Nürburgring this summer, this time with my mum who wanted to see the place (she drives her Fiesta ST on trackdays here in Sweden and rented a similar spec fron RSR).

Spent almost a week there but only got to drive 12 laps partly due to the weather (some rain, always hot) and partly due to the Truck Racing Weekend (LOTS of people-in-need-of-a-good-work-out).
Lots of traffic in the weekend, two dead on saturday and more bad crashes on sunday, only did 1 lap then.

Did however not crash which always is considered a successful time at Nurburgring.
Some very enjoyable laps, uploaded 4 of them.

Impressed by the Supersports on my CSL's, probably the most track capable streettires I've had, altho with 50deg celcius tarmac it got very slippery (did try to use the M-track setting but fell back on full TC...)

BUT - I need to fit my KWV3 kit, car is too soft and sloppy with the Eibach Pro/OEM shocks. I did better my PB (set with my Fiat in 2010) with one (1) second - 8.35BTG - but at the expense of almost losing it pretty much everywhere. :)

Also, lots to learn about the track still, I lift off too often for one.

Enjoyable little fight with a M4

Also got a passenger lap with my old mate Jimmy Särås in his 1992 964RS - jesus those things were quick!!!

Agreed! Thought once about turning the AC off but quickly changed my mind. :)

Did you film any lap?

Oh, SHAME! SHAME! :D

Didn’t have my AC On on the ring. Just cracked the window. Though looking back. Was the trade off for extra bhp with ac off to drag from open window worth it. Sure someone is clever enough on here if I knew exactly how open the window was :P
Been in many cars out there since 2008 but felt special in the m. Didn’t care about lap times or filming just enjoyed it and went again early Saturday morning while it was quiet.
On the Friday evening when it was busy the car I followed onto the track was a uk z4mc with orange/bronze 224s. Gave each other a thumbs up!
Love the petrol head, one team one dream atmosphere out there. Just like a when u go to watch a rally.
