Nurburgring trip

Hi All,

Just thought it would be worth putting this out there;

I have a trip planned to the Nurburgring leaving on 25th May and coming back on 28th May. Just wondered if anyone on here fancies a trip down there? :driving:

We're off a bit earlier than that for one of the Green Hell Driving Days - basically just a Nurburgring branded long public weekend.

Going on the 30th April, returning on the 5th May.

Few of us going on that weekend leaving Friday and coming back on the Monday, If anyone wants to join are group let me know.
 
Ah, shame, if I'd have known I could have asked her to book earlier. I'll make sure in future I check those trips.

Swop your dates, I think there is some racing going on as well on the earlyier weekend on the GP track to watch as well as loads of general public action on the track to watch, So loads going on to see as well as the track time, :driving:
 
Where is everyone staying, and what cars are going?

We tend to stay a bot away from the 'Ring by Hohe Acht (Jammelshofen) as it's half the price for twice the room - and we get a lovely, quiet patio to have cigars, wiessbier and whisky.

It also means the cars get a bit of a warm up before we queue up at the barriers before 8am to get a couple of clear laps in.

This year I believe there's (besides my Z4MC on 105k mile old suspension) an e34 M5, e60 535D, 330ci, Cayman S, & GT3 (if he's free after his latest satellite launch).
 
Where going Thursday morning now till the Monday, I am going in my M coupe (although I am thinking of selling it before we go) We also have 2 M3'S one CS and one with a fully forged engine and a massive slug of NOS a 911 a nissan 350Z and a corvette, Staying at waldhotel in der eifel, (Jammelshofen)

Most of our group are going over on Wednesday, but I'm working, so will be getting the 6am Dover/Dunkirk DFDS ferry on the 1st and returning on the 8pm ferry on the 5th.

If it's not sold before you go, then I'd suggest you don't come back with any 'ring rash' :P

That's the hotel we're at too.

Did you get the sad news about Peter (Lothar's brother/chef)?

When we booked our rooms we received a reply saying.

Where are you heading from? I'm leaving from my overnight stop in Ashford at about 4:45am, filling up at the BP petrol station in Dover and then heading for the ferry.

Happy to add to the convoy :P
 
My mate did all the bookings and he never said any think about peter, Its bad news if its correct, We are meeting at 15A on M1 very early Thursday morning and driving to the port, Your more than welcome to meet us where ever you like, :driving:

If you see a dozy Z4MC driver on the M20 at about 5amthen give me a honk to wake me up.

Otherwise I'll see you in the ferry queue.
 
Yes mate, Still happy to meet up for the drive down and a few beers in the hotel, :) (Even put me sticker on ready for my trip)

Port is fine for me. I'm on the DFDS/Norfolkline 6am.

Will PM you my details.

Didn't have the time to do my brake/suspicions upgrade, so have to make do with a standard car, with a fresh load of fluids and alignment.

No rush to get down there, so stops for coffee and kuche are fine with me.
