Numerical Reasoning Test

What do you do for a living ksher? Purely out of interest, I won't take offence if you'd rather not answer.

I was doing the practice test to help a colleague, he got the job  I work for a bank.

I'm chartered management accountant. I applied for a senior finance analyst role in a pharmaceutical company.

I asked as I had a feeling the answer would be something along those lines. I am looking to start a career as an accountant as it seems my brain works that way naturally. Have been in sales for the last 8 years so a big change but needed!

the tests I did were for finance roles...they skipped on the numerical one in the last appointment, on the grounds my qualifications backed up reasonable aptitude in that regards.

I think they use the numerical test to compare the applicants. ACA, ACMA, and ACCA all go through different types of examination, so they have to use SHL tests to judge people. My CIMA's final case study exam was very tough.

they still need to benchmark though, CIMA is a different structure of exam to say ACCA, which in turn is different to ACA. they're all pretty tough afaik, certainly the ACCA and CIMA are similar in severity, can't say much about the ACA, I recall is an open book exam. CIMA should stand you in good stead for a finance analyst role.
