Number Plates

Now my (new to me) front bumper is in being resprayed I'd prefer a front stick on plate.

Obviously sticking to the laws but I'd still like it as small as possible for all 7 letter/ digits plus the space.

Anyone kind enough to post a link or 2 of decent web sites that offer the service?

TIA

I used these guys. Not 100% sure on legality, but I've had the small version on my front for well over a year with no issue:

It depends how legal you want it to be. πŸ˜‰ There are all sorts of regs for number plates and looking at the link given they appear to be show plates which are not legal. According to the DVLA it says:
β€’ characters must be 79mm tall
β€’ characters (except the number 1 or letter I) must be
50mm wide
β€’ the character stroke (the thickness of the black print)
must be 14mm
β€’ the space between characters must be 11mm
β€’ the space between the age identifier and the random
letters must be 33mm
β€’ the margins at the top, bottom and side of the plate
must be 11mm
β€’ vertical space between the age identifier and the
random letters must be 19mm.

You can read all the gory details here https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/878990/vehicle-registration-numbers-and-number-plates-inf104.pdf

Like I said it depends how legal you want to be. The DVLA also says β€œYou can only get a number plate made up from a registered number plate supplier (RNPS).β€œ and β€œ To meet the British Standard, each number plate must be permanently and legibly marked with the:
β€’ British Standard number (currently BS AU 145d)
β€’ name, trademark or other way of identifying the
manufacturer or supplier
β€’ name and postcode of the supplying outlet.”
So there you have it. More regulations than you can shake a stick at! πŸ™‚ For the record one of my plates is 100% legal and the other isn’t. No comment whatsoever when the car passed its MOT. πŸ˜‰

Horrendous website but I used one of these on my old car with smoothed bumper. Just drilled holes in a normal plate then removed it when at a show or whatever. Never fell off once & drove the car daily for years.

Those static ones are ok but do lose static eventually or if you take it on & off often.
