Number plate supplier

Can anyone recommend an online number plate maker/supplier please?

Want good quality standard plates making up that aren't going to delaminate in 6 months and that don't have a massive postcode etched on them too

thanks

Any 'show plate' supplier. I have used www.myshowplates.com several times and have had no problems with the quality. They are not very cheap, though.
Apparently the law says you have to have a postcode on plates but as you tick a waiver for 'show plates' not to be used on the road, they will put whatever you want on them. Then you use them on the road! :)
I bought a set of metal 1960s plates (the ones on the car in my avatar) from a place on eBay last year which were dirt cheap (for metal plates) and they are absolutely fine.

I've always had a habit of fitting dealer number plates on the car, with the Jags it was the local Jaguar dealer and the same with the BMW's. I've got private plates so it's been cost effective as the same plates have been transferred to the next car. 💰 All the old plates are taken off the car and fitted to the garage wall for when the car is eventually sold on.

Isn't it an MOT failure if your numberplates don't have the correct information displayed? I'll stand corrected. And also I suppose how picky the MOT inspector is.
Obviously using show plates on the road or slightly altered spacing is entirely at ones own risk.

I have never had a problem. An MOT tester would have to be having a really bad day to be that anal IMO.
Spacing, yes, but you just swap plates for 'legal' ones before MOT.

The metal ones on my Z3 have nothing written on them and the colour is not legal for the age of the car (2001). It was never mentioned at the MOT.
