Number plate lamp upgrade?

Hi, I've been off the scene for a while with the e85 in hibernation but it's back on the road and time for some new number plate lamps.
Are the BMW 1 Series led number plate lamps still the go to OE upgrade?
If so does anybody have the part numbers?

I did look at this a while ago an the price at BMW was very high, got some from Amazon but the ones I bought are currently unavailable

Yes. The 1 series reg plate leds are the ones to get I fitted them to my Z4 years ago and they're still looking great.

I'm pretty sure these are the correct ones.

You also need some connectors to join the wiring, but I can't remember the part number for them.

There is definitely a guide on here somewhere with all the part numbers of the connectors etc.....

Still very happy with mine and very much a fit and forget mod.

I have ordered the parts from Harry Fairbairn BMW.

I have ordered the parts from Harry Fairbairn BMW.

Note you don’t need a connector.. just file down the protruding part of the original connector on your own car and it will fit. Dremels are perfect for this.

There are notes here if you search but it’s really east. GL.
