I now know why he's called Number 5🤔

5 Stars!

Raced over to the other side of Bristol for a roof motor fix at 6pm and Alan was ready to get to work.

Took 2 cars, so we popped to the Mall, son had a KFC🙈 and before we knew it, Alan was sending messages and photos with regards to progress.

Motor/Pump all good, cleaned and re-housed in the boot👊

By 8pm, life was back to normal and the roof was up and down working perfectly. ONE ISSUE, I did get a battering from the wife as she drove our son back home and I had the house keys😯, whilst Alan and myself chatted about petrol and had a spin in his Boxter to see his Alpina 😂 both lovely motor vehicles...

A great evening all round. Oh, and he kindly fitted some new clear repeaters 👌

I'm sure I will be in touch again for some advice going forward and let's try and arrange a Bristol/South Westy meet with others over the summer👍

I assume you have an e89 - plenty of us have had issues with these, just do search or you need to give a description of the issue and maybe we can pinpoint the cause.
 
Hi, yes it's a 2014 E89. The retractable roof opens and closes but the red warning light and ping regularly flashes. Also recently the roof would close and the windows didn't respond. I stopped the car, turned the ignition off and on and thankfully the roof then closed. It has spooked me a bit and so I need to get it sorted. I'm borrowing an OBD reader from a friend to see what fault codes come up.
 
I wish I was over there so he could do mine , Im just not as limber as I once was so getting in the trunk/boot wont be the problem , Im more concerned about getting out . :cry:

Ill probably tackle it this coming winter .
