Was checking my roof drains today (both were clean!) and managed to shear off the stud that forms the top centre mounting of the removable section of the liner just above the deflector at the front of the rear wheel arch. I'm sure I'm not the first person this has happened to so can anybody please advise of the best fix? I can think of 3, (a) drill out the broken stud and attempt to fit a self-tapper (not sure what is behind the stud? (b) put a bead of adhesive behind the affected section of the wheel liner and press it back against the wheel arch and (c) do nothing as the other two top fixings attach the removable section to the main wheel arch liner and the bottom screw that goes in from underneath effectively ties the arch liner and removable section back to the car anyway. Any suggestions gratefully received.
