Now traded in!

So I have bitten the bullet as the car has sat for a while, and I'm trading it in through AutoTrader, but want to offer it in here to a forum member before it goes off the big auction in the sky! it is scheduled to be picked up on the 28th of this month.

Here we have my short lived 2007 E86 Z4M in Titan silver on BMW 18” unmarked alloy wheels.

This car has a full-service history, some subtle modifications, has been washed every weekend and hand / spray waxed every fortnight. The interior has factory carbon effect dash, leather memory and heated seats, cold A/C, DSP, rear sensors, auto wipers, auto lights, CC and factory Nav. A third-party warranty is in force until the 28th of July 2021.

Last September RL Motors , a BMW specialist in Plymouth, carried out a major service, brake hose replacement, cam shell bearing replacement, ABS Ring replacement, rear discs, Belts, VANOS and a health inspection of the car. Follow up work included; new aero window wipers, rear shock absorbers (Bilstein B4), A new BMW OWM Headlight (£720 from BMW Plymouth) gearbox flush and use of Redline MTL Gearbox oil and new filler / drain plugs. my mini blog is https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=123683

The Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) has been removed to make 1st and 2nd gear shifts smoother, the gear knob has been upgraded to a BMW ZHP item, all interior lamps are now LED, all BMW M badges have been removed (Faded) and one has been placed on the rear of the car. The glove box has been replaced with an OEM part as the original had a broken latch, the key fobs have new batteries, a new OEM tool kit has been sourced, an updated tyre weld kit (the original BMW “Mobility equipment” is in place) and the battery clamps have been replaced. I have also installed a 3rd party armrest that brings the rest height in line with the door cards, this also has a storage compartment. (Leather Z £168)

Service history:

Below is a detailed breakdown of the service history, nothing has been missed and the running in service has been completed.

This car was purchased with the intention of being a daily driver and holiday car. Unfortunately, the pandemic has prevented all our planned trips, bar a single long weekend to France last summer. It has also led to a change of employment that rules out daily use of the Z4 due to distance.

The car has a cracking service history, all major work has been completed and preventative maintenance only last year.
If you are after an analogue car, with 100% feedback then this is it. The S54 engine, M gearbox and low stance give this car immense acceleration and handling. Even driving round town for the commute, it is a pleasure to drive, smooth and loads of torque. When making progress the acceleration is unreal, the VANOS kicks in and you can feel / hear it. This car look stylish, is subtle and the values are starting to increase almost monthly.

The car has been washed weekly, waxed every other week. Liquid & tyres pressure checks every Saturday. The car is kept below 3k revolutions until the engine coolant reaches 90 degrees, which is best practice as the engine oil is then at optimum viscosity, irrespective of the BMW reactive amber / red line display.

Viewing of the car is encouraged, but please limit it to two people. If you would like a test drive, please bring your drivers licence and proof of fully comprehensive car insurance for the person carrying out the test drive. An independent inspection is also welcome, but I would encourage you to speak with RL motors who carried out an extensive check of the car and competed the most recent work.

My Asking price is £16,000.

The car is located in Plymouth and occasionally London or Poole.

Dan it's such a shame that changed circumstances, outside of your control, mean you need to part with your MC after you have lavished so muchTLC on it. :(

GLWTS.
