He took the freakin' lights out to polish the car - wow. Shame he then spoiled ALL of his hard work with those awful new wheels...

I was going to comment that he'd missed the wheel arches, but at the bottom he did mention them :-p very good job, only wish I had the money, skill and time to do the same...

That's a fine looking motor, didn't know you could use Bilberry on the engine, seemed to work a treat

Very shiney. Fortunatley I am not aflicted with this form of OCD. A quick wash and polish, 45mins tops and I'm done for another week.

Would love to be able to do this but alas when the sun shines afraid I prefer to drive my car instead of detailing it. :driving:

To be fair, not the sort of thing to do every weekend. Depending on the clearcoat, you would only do a machine polish 2-3 times on a car before it was thin enough to start worrying about taking too much off and getting through to the base coat.

They really are hideous

When I first get a car I will do a full detail like this, if it is down properly washing in the coming weeks only needs a power hose and wipe down because the sealant or wax repels most contaminates.

There is nothing more annoying than seeing your car in direct sunlight and seeing loads of swirl marks

I was really, really enjoying reading that thread. But seriously, those wheels. Why? Couldn't read any more, and had to close the window. Currently sat rocking slowly backwards and forwards on my chair typing this....

After waiting for the pics to load, I now agree. All that effort to spoil it with those wheels. Yuk
