Well I don't know of a 2-seater coupe that outsells its Roadster equivalent though Mowflow. Maybe the price difference will help but I reckon they'll close that price gap over the next few years without admitting they got Roadster pricing wrong!

350Z and the 370Z? The cayman also outsold the Boxster by almost 2:1 in 2012. I can't speak for any other years.I'm actually really struggling to think on many cars that come in 2 seater coupe and roadster

I think if we talk about the UK market then the F type roadster may sell better than the coupe. Just speculating on who will buy it. Well off, possibly retired or more mature.... maybe a second or third "weekender" or "crisis" car. Couple that with the unusual british quirk of buying roadsters despite our crap weather and it might just happen. I guess in countries such as the emerging markets, where JLR are really trying to position themselves people are sick of having the sun beating down on them so a roof is the preferred option.

The Cayman is not a coupe version of the Boxster, the fact that the two cars are fe**ing near identical is just a huge coincidence...". 8)

Yeah I was struggling to think on any 2 seater coupe/roadsters that aren't super cars. Boxster/Cayman, same difference :P

It was derived from the Boxster so it's a child , a kiddie car. had to look up the number and it's the same, those devious bastards. Using the same number for a different car

Went to Barret Jackson auctions in Scottsdale today and saw a drop dead gorgeous F type , two of them actually, in the dealer secrtion. The drophead S version is to die for.

took some pics but the lighting was shite...and lots of beer bellies in the background

Only thing that spoils the rear of the V6 for me is the centre exhaust. The twin on the bigger engine looks much aesthetically better.
Saying that I don't know what is the difference with having a centre exhaust or a side one (for us lower end zed owners!) you would think a centre one would look more balanced so maybe it's because we're used to not having a centre exhaust on most cars that the F Type looks weird?
Wouldn't say no to one, centre exhaust or not.

Very subjective as I prefer the look of the V6 central exhausts. Have you seen the size of them? Bordering on comically large. They make the V8 exhaust exits look small in comparison.

I was at the factory a few weeks ago for what they termed an executive launch of the coupe. In the flesh it's stunning from all angles. Sat in, drooled photographed and up close it's just so 'right'.

Better still I have one for the weekend whenever I want it. Taxed, insured and with free fuel. Coupe or roadster...

Working in Dublin for 3 months so too busy, but has been suggested I hold to April and take the coupe R and see how it feels with 545hp.

Not excited about it at all......

Without doubt I'll take some snaps.
This was the launch car. Destined for the China Motor show but was returned to the factory:

agree with carol that symmetrical exhausts always look decidedly better, the f type is lovely in the flesh a few lines not quite there but every car has a few features like that, when you flick pics from the m to the f type they are very similar in many ways, have often wondered what an m coupe would look like with the sharp body lines soffened a bit. , photoshop anyone?

Something doesn't fit right with me, I agree with TomScott, the rear end doesn't quite work imo. I know it's "modelled" on the E-type but it seems a bit forced....I prefer the roadster :o

Z4MC is a better looking car. :driving:

I quite like it but I don't think it is as uber-gorgeous as some people seem to think it is. It's a bit play-safe in the design stakes if you ask me. It's not an exciting design it's a conservative one.

But it makes a pretty compelling package for £85k doesn't it?

Agreed,
The Etype is a legend because it was such a big step forward in performance and relative affordability and the ground breaking looks. The F is a very desirable car, but none of the above in my opinion.
