you may find the rattle is coming from the lining - i had this and just had to use the palm of my hand the push it back into place (along the rear window)

I just sent you a pm on ebay,

How bad is the rattling, where is it coming from? is it fixable..

where are you located?

and most of all, how much? do we get a rattle discount?

Im based in Merseyside, the rattling is more of a squeek to be fair and its coming from the passenger side rear of the top! at first I thought it was the soft top mech bouncing a bit, I am on runflats still! I have re fitted it a few times now and have ran out of patience :headbang: As mentioned I paid a grand only three weeks ago and dont want to take a big knock, squeek reduction =£900 :D

Forgot to say cheers for the advice Ranski, I personal think its my window setup as when my soft top is up my passenger window sits a little different from my driver, hard to explain without a picture I know.

Do a search on window rattles - looks like the previous owner has tightened the window but not alined it correctly -

PS I'd hang onto your hardtop, they are great once you get it fitted correctly

Will do ranski, I am going to have a good think this week, must admit the car in our colour with the hardtop looks the biz, will be gutted when its gone :(

I had this issue... It was a squeek coming from the top of the centre console. It's got nothing to do with the hardtop, but the fact that the soft top roof is down. You need to take the centre console out and fit a bit of foam/padding to get rid of it.

Try my best to record it then you tube it, cant promise tho as the top is off the car now and I am back to work tomorrow! To be honest I dont want to flog this top really! During the week I am going to try a few hints ive got tonite or possble pay a forum member to give me a hand  But if no joy its going this sunday via the flea bay

If you're selling fine, but if you want to keep it then all these rattles and squeeks are just related to adjustment or parts of the cars plastics, not the hood. There's nothing in the hood aside a simple locking mechanism at the front centre.

As for windnoise if you can't stop it by adjustment then a tiny smear of clear silicone sealer on the outer 2 to 3 inches of the top to windshield seal, will stop it. There is often a tiny gap (just enough to get a business card in) that causes a kettle like whistle. Annoying, but easy to fix.

If you window is somehow out of adjustment that's something else to fix, but not hood related.

Sure you'll get your £1k back on ebay if you need to sell

Hardtop now sold, Forum member picked it up early this morning :D Fitted his car a lot better than it did mine! we both agreed it looks like my passenger door is sitting a little high maybe that was the root of my issues! I will get that looked at and then proberly be daft enough to look for another. Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice in the first place
