I bought my Zed in October 2013 (78,570 miles) as a weekend/summer car to compliment my V8 Jaguar, intending to keep them both for about 3 years. Having finally got it sorted I was recently tempted by a BMW 650i Convertible which I have now bought as a replacement for both. The Jaguar has been sold and now it is time for the Zed to go. At least I got a great Continental trip in the Zed last year!

The main factory specifications: 2004 3.0i. Automatic. Sterling Grey. Dream Red New England Leather (retro fitted – see below *). Sports Leather Steering Wheel. Factory Alarm System. Automatic Dip rear view mirror. Electric seat adjusters, with triple memory for driver. Headlight cleaning system. Rain sensing wipers. BMW Business Radio/CD. Factory fitted wind deflector. Two keys. All manuals.

Current mileage 84,014 (may go up a little). Service history – some BMW, some independent. MOT to 1st October 2015. Garaged overnight.

It is available, as specified above, to Forum members for £5,250 for a sale before the end of May. If there is no interest in a week or so it will be put up for sale elsewhere.
I live near Huddersfield, Yorkshire.

The first two pictures were taken today as I didn’t have any with the hood up (650i in the background). The others were taken last summer as it’s rather dirty at the moment (I can do more when it is clean, if necessary).

Nice move into the 650i  nothing comes close to that V8 imo including the 6cyl M engine :o
The Z sounds to have all corners covered on a maintenance front , nice colour combo & miles aren't daft .
Id say a good price for someone looking to get into a 3,0 auto Z without busting the bank :driving:
Best of luck

We are on completely the same wavelength! and that BMW V8 engine is my favourite of the BMW engines I have had and even better than the S54/S65.

OP GLWTS and enjoy the new motor. :)

Very nice early Zed with lots of work already done - at the right price and should find a buyer who knows their stuff.

Good luck with the sale.

:driving:

Good luck, lovely car at a decent price. If you are willing, I'd love an update of how the sale goes.

My slushbox 3.0i is possibly going up for sale later this year so I'd be interested in how yours sells.

Hi Gogo,

I was trawling the net looking for a good used Z4 & came across your advert.

Idealy I wanted a manual but as whatever I buy will be a second car used as a weekend tourer rather than a speed machine. I guess an auto would be fine.

Anyway.... My reason for joining the forum was to ask if you'd be interested in a deal on a private plate for your new toy if I bought your Z4? The reg number is M6 OPEN (M60 PEN) hence my forum name. I would include a photo but I can't see how to add it?

The plate has been valued by three different plate dealers at between £5k-£7k. However I think that is way more than it's likely to fetch in the real world? I could be wrong & I kinda hope I am. However for the time being I'm willing to be realistic about it's true value :)

Let me know if you might be interested in a px?

Kind regards Jez

Hi Jez,

I already have a private plate on the 650i so, I'm afraid your offer doesn't attract.

Tony.

The car has now been sold in two days flat at the asking price (so that's your answer Stratts). The end of a (short) era!

I'll say my farewells in a separate post.
