Now it won't start

Well this spare bulb saga of mine has been going on tooooooo long!

I have found out which bulb has gone, sidelight http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=47021&hilit=Halo+bulb as featured in this thread and seems to be unavailable everywhere

So the latest problem...

After jump starting the car as the battery was dead I moved it out the garage to work on. Now after faffing about and leaving it over night the battery is dead again. (Why do they HAVE to have this indicator permanently on thing when a side light bulb goes ill never know)
I hooked up the jump leads again and now nothing. The dash lights don't come on at all. Have I blown a fuse or something? It lit up before and started so why not now?

Doesn't the indicator only come on for a failed sidelight if you have sidelights only selected? On mine, if you are on main beam with a failed sidelight, you only have to put up with the warning light on the dash.... The indicator behaves as normal rather than being on permanently

Tapatalking...

Absolutely nothing powered? Or no dash lights and starter? If the latter, could be a fuse, as the starter control is part of the instrument cluster module, check fuses 12, 23, 24. If absolutely nothing, check the battery cable connections. Sounds like your battery is pretty weak, or did you never really attempt to properly charge it? Zeds need a good strong battery, I wouldn't worry too much until the battery issue is resolved.
