Sunshine roof down , first blast in the car , sport + switched , bloody brilliant , huge smile all afternoon.. :D :D :D



Well picked up my 2.0 se in blue with cream leather today from Farnborough bmw , very nice sales man took me into a room , car was covered by a black sheet ... With a flourish my car was unveiled! Nice touch , made me smile ..
So my impressions after a 150 miles(normal days driving) . Looks great , inside and out very pleased. Should point out this is a company car , ordered without ever driving one , my 2011 520 m sport kept going wrong . Driving on the motorways , quiter than I expected , and as comfortable as my old 5 series with the m sport suspension . Glad I stayed away from the big wheels and lowered ride . Stereo , again pleased its the standard (I think ) but sounds ok , can take a fair amount of bass - proper test will be with the top down though ... Power - here I'm a little underwhelmed , on paper it should feel a lot quicker than my old car , but doesn't , may be I'm missing the deisel torque and will need to adjust my driving to suit ( it's an auto box) . Anyway overall good choice , very pleased , can I have some sunshine now ?

I did 68,000 miles in 32 months and it was a very pleasant time in all, miss the feel and looks, but not the standard stereo sorry, wholly inadequate with the top down. In the end I used in-ear type phones to listen to music and audiobooks. I had forgotten how good it is to listen to a great song loud, that Bohemian Rhapsody moment which the Merc does significantly better as standard.
 
Thanks for the comment , may not be an se , that's a hangover from my 5 and 3 series days and specs , no sign of sun as yet , will try and get some pics on later this week , cheers .... :D
