Notts Newbie saying Hi

Hello! just joined as currently looking for a Coupé to fill the space in the above image. Got word of the site via Pistonheads, but my car forum history goes back a long way (uk.rec.cars.misc/mods anyone?) :dizzy:

Looking for a 08ish 3.0 Sport. Prefer Black/Black, but would consider other colours externally and/or the half toned seats as well.
Definitely avoiding RED interior though, the last time I was in anything that red I still had a cord attached to my stomach :evil:
Needs to be very good nick, as the OH is a fusspot and expects something new to her to be "as near to new as possible" - the only good thing is she made an exception for me.
Under 60k, FSH, Based in the East Midlands, but will meet halfwayfor the right car.

Been to see two today. Not up to standard, so the search continues. Was hoping joining a forum would throw up more cherished examples, rather than the "dont give a toss" ex-leasers we've seen today. Appreciate they're rare, so am being patient

Have you checked out the Buy & Sell section on here? There are, based on the pics, some nice Coupes for sale at present. I think one has full red leather so that would be a no-no for you, another has black leather with red bolsters (so not full red leather!) and the other one I looked at had black leather.

interested to know what makes them "not up to standard " ? i would expect the later 08 cars to be in good order with potentially less miles covered ?

I have tried the buy/sell, the only one I'm interested in is a 3 hour drive away, so looking more local first, although it does like a nice example. Might be worth a jaunt next weekend. Just about to post a wanted.
With regard to "not up to standard, not prepped for sale. in a garage that has had them for over a week?!?! - very stone chippy, scratches on the interior, round the handbrake and door handles, and in the case of the second one, gouges all across the dash trim panel in front of the passenger seat.
