Wow, that's intentse. Sounds like a job for Robin Hood.

Crap roads around Nottingham anyway...

Well then. It's a good thing Robin Hood doesn't drive a car.

How can they enforce something like that? Don't you guys have the right to gather in groups? Maybe you can call them quilting parties or something and everyone just bring a quilt. So that way you're not gathering for your cars but to show off your...er....quilts instead.

It is appearantly only a law that has been created so they can use it to stop the teenage madness where the souped up little cars do doughnuts on car parks and that sort of stuff.

The actual gathering of normal enthousiasts won't be affected, but if there is silly behaviour they have a law ready which can be invoked, that is all.

But you'd hope there'd already be a law against whatever silly behaviour is going on ... donoughts probably class as dangerous driving, so get them for that. If the car park is closed for the evening, it's trespass. If the noise is annoying neighbours, the police can sort that out too. But if the kids are gathering and showing off their souped up Renault 5 to eachother and not breaking any existing laws, what are they doing wrong?

I suppose it is all about making it easier using a ready-made law rather then applying other laws and collecting all the "proof" etc.

Don't ask me ... when it comes to traffic laws, there is never any rhyme nor reason except that somewhere down the line they are making money from it, so maybe they can do an instant fine and collect some cash that way

Pity Rob Bruce isn't around to help us out with some concise understanding of the law in this area :D

So is this a proclamation from the Sheriff?
