Not what I wanted to see this afternoon....

Just spoken to solicitor, he said that the wrong motorway written on the ticket is a "fatal error" he reckons that the job cannot proceed, as I was not stopped in the M53??

He's going to do a letter for me tomorrow, so fingers crossed..

So it transpires that there is also another error on the roadside ticket..

The offence is stated as "exceed 70" but the offence code (1505) is apparently for "exceed 60 mph on a single carriageway during a temporary speed limit order" Seriously, had this cop been smoking the wacky baccy?

Spoken to the ticket office, solicitor drafted letter on it's way to them, stating that the offence detailed on both the roadside ticket, and posted letter never happened, and indeed could never have done due to the offence I was reported for. They (ticket office) told me on the phone, that they have to refer it back to the cop to see if he wishes to proceed. I am assuming he can't change the ticket he wrote, so we'll have to wait and see what happens next..

We were on the M40 this afternoon doing about 70 when a BMW and Merc came flying past, looked like they were racing and doing around 90-100 mph. Matching their speed, but around 400 yards back was a black Volvo. I noticed the blind spot mirror sitting on top of the door mirror and something sat on the rear parcel-shelf, off into the distance they drove. Passed all 3 cars a few miles down the road, blue lights flashing from the Volvo
