I'm on for doing this work as well - sold on the blue calipers. Can I ask what paint was used by you both - I'm guessing a Hammerite from Halfords but wouldn't mind checking with you guys.
Is there any special prep involved other than masking stuff off? I'd like to do mine in situ.
Cheers

I just bought some caliper paint (I painted rather than sprayed the calipers) and some high heat spray paint for the hubs. I had a wire brush attachment for me drill which helped and applied a liberal socking of brake cleaner before painting and that was about it. Much easier than I thought it would be. Just need time.

I too also painted the calipers with a brush. I wanted deep blue calipers similar to the colour BMW use. I opted for this paint http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/171161321331?nav=SEARCH

I'm going do my calipers orange in a week or so

for painting the hub is it as simple as covering the disc/caliper and spray away then?

I found it easier to paint my hubs with a brush using smooth silver hammerite paint than using a spray can.
