Went to get some dosh out of the cash machine today - a well dessed nice old geezer ambles up and starts complimenting my Zed - says he's always wanted one - said in his younger days he was out in Dubai and they used to hold raffles at £100 a ticket with cars as prizes - including rollers - he said he only ever bought one ticket when they were raffling one like mine, not even a Roller !


Rollers ?? What sort of car did he think I had - a classic Ferrari or Carrera :?

Haha. reminds me of a bizarre conversation I once had with my brothers neighbour about another car of mine...
Neighbour "nice car... "
Me "why thank-you"
Neighbour "is that a Ferrari?"
Me "no, it's actually an Opel"
Neighbour "no it's not, I am sure it's a Ferrari... I just can't remember which one"
Me "sadly not, but it has some similar design elements, I guess"
Neighbour "it IS a Ferrari, I'll let [your brother] know when I have found out which one"

For the more observant amongst you, this Ferrari does have "OPEL" in big yellow letters along the doors each side.. I am not sure how his neighbour felt someone could own a Ferrari and not realise.. but heh, ho... what are you supposed to say to that?

I have always presumed his version of the story is along the lines of "Saw a Ferrari today, plonker that owned it didnt even know he had a Ferrari... idiot!"
 
That's definitely a Ferrari Dan, its just been re-badged incorrectly :roll:

gov - must be talking about the raffles they have in airports and large shopping centres ? He must've been thinking of Ferrari or Aston Martin... Or maybe a jag e-Type if he was very old :P
