Not such a newbie anymore....

Hi all,

OK I've been a member for like 18 months and I've now owned by E85 for about 3.5 months, so I realise I'm not exactly a newbie. But I'm yet to post pics of my baby on here! I recently remembered I had some pics on my camera from a few weeks ago when I was out driving in some beautiful weather, so here they are! I was going to post them in the gallery but thought them maybe a little too underwhelming for there...

The Z4:
- 2003 2.5i (would have preferred a 3.0 but everything else about this car was perfect and in budget)
- Maldives blue (man I love this colour, even if it people I know refer to it as "faggy blue")
- Manual, as a sports car should be
- Bought her with only 37,000kms on the clock from Brisbane BMW

The driver:
- Mid-twenties
- Electronic engineer
- Car enthusiast (OK, OK: rev-head)
- Live in sunny South East Queensland, Australia
- Will die of skin cancer from driving around with the top down too often

nice colour, I like it. So your from the Sunny Coast? I live up in Townsville, so its only cool enough to drop the roof at night :P

I wanna go for a road trip down there soon, so I can unleash my car on willowbank (Track) and probably show everyone how to miss all the apex's

Must be a perfect place to own a zed, sun and lots of empty open roads, hmmmmm, Australia do you need any more engineers :)

Thanks everyone!

I want to take her onto a sandy beach one day for some pics as I reckon she would look awesome against the sand and water. Alas I know of no such beaches around here that don't require a 4WD :(

AlanJ: I'm a fan of the wheels too but I'm starting to think it might be cool to have them repainted/powdercoated in a darker gunmetal grey to a) hide the brake dust and b) set her apart from all the other Z4s being driven by bald men and old ladies ;)

Hotride: If you stop by the Sunny Coast be sure to give me a shout! It's always a pleasure to catch up with other enthusiasts (not that I've met another Z4 enthusiast yet, but I did meet some Celica enthusiasts with my last car).

Although I've done the Aux input mod, it was pretty simple so I'm considering the custom fabrication of a windblocker my first major project for her. I'll be sure to chronicle the process here!

Oh and the faggy comments are completely nullified when I rock up, top down, with my beautiful girlfriend in the passenger seat 8)
