Not looking forward to tomorrow

Having had dogs, cats and children I can vouch that it’s much easier to keep a cocker spaniel. Although not that much cheaper these days with what vets charge. :D
True. We have rarely had to take our daughter to the vet. Only once when she got a nasty case of fleas (I blamed her mother). :D
Hope you didn't tell her mother that? Could have proved to be detrimental to your future parenting abilities

Sunday 22nd September is the day when our only child leaves and goes off to University in Sheffield. We (her mum and I) are absolutely dreading it.

Some may know that our daughter was a twin. Her twin brother died as a very young baby due to a major cock up at the hospital during their birth. So our daughter (Emily) has been our world for the last eighteen years.

Now she is leaving us. I don't know how we will cope TBH.

Just thought I would share this, as I don't know who else to tell how gutted I am! :(
I dropped my youngest off at Manchester a week ago. It's his second attempt at Uni. So, I'm 'home alone' now. :(

I hope you're doing OK, mate. I should think myself lucky really. :)

What a beautiful cat. What breed? The thing for me about animals is that they give unconditional love. Mind you they say that cats own you rather than the other way round.😀

How did my daughter going to Uni get to the finer points of Nanu's bloody cat? :?

This forum is nuts! :)

A dog is always your best friend, had a girlfriend once who had 6 cats and a horse 🐎 so I always stunk and had scars across the face

Tim.

She is a Bronze Egyptian Mau, the one in my avatar is the silver version. This breed is the original temple cats of the Pharaohs

I believe the original post is about how we feel when a loved one leaves home, even temporarily.

It’s not the whole Forum Andy. Just some members. No names, no pack drill. 😉😉😉

Yep, Lynn cries her eyes out if I go out to the garage.

Leaving her cutting onions in the kitchen doesn’t count by the way :poke:
