Hi all my name is mac I have a z4 2.5 se on a 54 plate in grey very nice motor all original as far as I know which is not much lol.I've just joined this forum to see if I can gain some info on my bm and any mod cons to update and upgrade performance and looks if possible. I'm not mechanical minded nor very technical but maybe with right advice will end up with a tasty motor that would be a joy to own and drive any comments would be grateful

Hi and welcome. Post up some pics of you car so we can see what it has. Lots of mods from a few pounds upwards. Fist should be a stubby, less than a tenner and the first true forum mod.

Welcome along Mac, hope you enjoy your car & the forum. Post some pics of your new p&j :)

Welcome along. Pics are a given mate as you'll see from the 1st welcome message.

I've still only ever posted up a pic of my front wing, random I know, but it's not seen the light of day since I bought it.

Yep, a stubby is a cheap initial mod as srhutch points out.

Enjoy the forum, I've found them to be a good set of people with quality advice etc....

Yep- welcome to a long and expensive but highly enjoyable 'modding' road.
I bought my z4 last month and swore I wouldn't go mad spending money on it.... That lasted all of 3 days!!!!
Great cars though :) don't regret a penny of it

There's a guide on here but basically open a 'photo bucket' or similar website, load your photos onto that then copy the URL onto your post in here :)

Hope that helps

Welcome to the forum Mac, as Serpentine says photobucket is the way to go. The guide is here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=640

First should be a stubby

Hurray!

I have done sympathetic mods to date. Even by me (some are easy enough), others with the help from a local independent BM specialist or even the BM dealer - who can be quite cheap, offer proper warranties and certain ones will price match against the independents when pushed (bounce all your local dealers off each other). My best mod to date has to be the intraveeII. And drilled fog lights, the condensation was doing my head in. Ah, getting rid of the run flats - oh the improvement in comfort as well as control! Cruise, yes - if you are driving on motorways or in speed restricted zones.

What did you do to your fog lights? I have the condensation issue.... found the thread regarding this, will give it a go tomorrow.

The subject has already been covered in this forum - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=62003&hilit=fog+condensation. I think I used a 6mm drill and it has worked perfectly since - I will try to post some more photo's tomorrow and add them to the above thread. The trouble is I was too late and the rot had already set in so that's my next job.
