Not Flashed

Just drove down a familiar road, 50 limit dual carridgeway with two standard yellow box Gatz cameras about 1 mile apart that I know of very well, safely passed the first and for some reason forgot about the second which is just under a rail bridge. It was dark and I think I went on auto pilot listening to the news, no other cars about. Did not realise until about 300 metres past it, looked at the speed about 58. The question is there was no flash so did I get away with it or do the new cameras not need to flash?

Unless it had infra-red (and you would tell by the red filter glass if it did, but I don't think standard Gatsos do) you ought to be OK...I mean if you allow up to 10% speedo error (check it against satnav) you weren't that far over.....

simple answer is some do some dont!

Can you describe what the camera looks like?

All you've gotta do now is wait 2 weeks to see what the postman brings!

The gatz looks like the old standard cube, depends how often they change them. I do remember that one got fire bombed about three years ago and was renewed, I also remember seeing it flash someone about two years ago while I was going in the opposite direction. I suppose I will just have to wait 14 days.

Dark and no flash - think you can breathe again BUT 14 days is the crucial test. Keep an eye on the post.
