Not always unlocking from remote

Hey guys
My 03 3.0 roadster every now and then won't open from the romote, the alarm is disabled and the interior light comes on but the doors dont unlock,
But the boot will always open from the remote no problems, it happened again yesterday and this morning, it's now working again but now the centre compartment isn't opening at all no matter how many times lock and unlock the car.

Help please :-(

Hi

Same model car ,same problem although it hasn't happened for a couple of months now.

Surely someone has a few thoughts on this.

HI , I experience similar problems with my '03' 2.5 Roadster - it appears as though the locking button is not "popping up" - a side pressure applied to the door and it pops up? Is this the same for you? it is frustrating! :x

hi guys i have 2003 3.0 se roadster my was doing the same, you need to change drivers door solinoid cums with all the locking stuff to. about 60 pounds from dealers. its cured mine. :D

Hi, if you want the part number B51. 21.7.202.144 OSF Door catch. solinoid in side. they go wrong because they get wet. hope this helps. :)

Hi

Thanks for replying, I will keep this in mind if it ever becomes more of a problem, at the moment it only happens once every month or so and when it does I can always open with the key in the door.

Read this link http://www.bmwgm5.com/ because if both doors don't operate at the same time, chances are it's not an actuator/solenoid, it could be the GM5 module.

what made me change it was, if i used the key only drivers door unlocked.

Please explain; when unlocking manually with key or by remote? Because mine has only been unlocking on the driver's side for a year now. Both lock by remote, but only driver side does so with remote. Who change your door kit, did you do it yourself?

sorry i mean when my car didnt unlock by remote, on using the key manually only my drivers door would
unlock, the passenger door remained locked even trying to open it internally it still would not unlock. i was told that solenoid on the drivers door is the master that reads
the passenger door and boot hence why I changed the drivers side. I got a mechanic i no to do it, only took him half an hour. door card off, airbag off, disconnect door latch. fit new latch then reverse sequence. its not scarey. i would do it myself now watching him. hope this helps.
