Norwegian fjords

Has anyone been on a cruise in and around the fjords? I'm really wanting to do this but all the different ship choices etc are enormous.
Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

The doc who lives next door was the GP on Fred Olsen ships before he retired last month. He liked them because they were small vessels which gave a more intimate voyage.
Anyway thought you didn't like sailing :?

It's ferries I hate. They are the devils own creation on water.

I am not sure you'll find a small cruise ship better than a ferry... Unless it's not the sailing itself you hate ?

I know people that have been on lots of cruises and they rate Norway. Apparently there are some fascinating ancient timber churches and the scenery was outstanding.

The Norwegiam fjords are breath taking. Rap up warm. If your lucky you may even see the Northern lights. 8)

You can do a full trip, or take shorter ones.

I've been looking at Hurtigruten and I think it's probably who we'll go with. They get right into the fjords unlike a lot of the other companies.
Plus, I can get on at Bergen rather than sailing up from England.

Just done p&o last month, great experience via Stavanger, Bergen , flaam, gerainger etc with Azura. PM me, just spent the day on a sunseeker with free beer do will forget otherwise.
