NORTH'D CASTLES AND COAST 13th Sept PHOTOS

Guilty as charged your honour :oops: but I'm certain I didn't exceed the speed limit - I avoid that in Urban areas - you can still enjoy a roundabout or two though :D

Unbelievably I'd got the date wrong and took the Octavia a day early for it's service - Steph was following up in the Zed somewhere behind me - got the same journey to do tomorrow morning now - I'll write it down next time. :lol:

Paul, meant to say the other week, but i am a DEFINITE for this, as all booked up a wee while ago, just been busy and forgot to firm up, lol.

Steph and I were out with Cherrym (and Davegolfr) doing a bit of a recce for the Castles and Coast this week . . . .

I've passed it hundreds of times, its on the A696 Angus, probably about 10 miles south from Otterburn if my memory is correct
 
That's it Nick - I was concerned enough to have a splash and dash there - wouldn't recommend due to prices and probably not much quantity sold and therefore more likely contaminated? :cry:
 
Steph and I have been out on a recce of the north sections of the run today.

Thought it might be different to cross a ford in our Zeds so checked out a possible route. . .

NOPE :o :( :cry: :?

Too deep and I don't think many of you would welcome the steep approach road and it's potholes -
so that's not going to happen :lol: :thumbsdown:

We also headed to Chillingham Castle to see the Estate Manager again and ask if we could all have access to their drive for a photo opportunity as well as leave by their West gate and they have agreed once more :thumbsup: - we must keep the Zeds off the grass though.

We are also trying to work out a route which will give us time to cross to Holy Island - it's always special to travel the causeway but there is no access to the village on Lindisfarne so it would be a trip over and back only . . .we are still giving some thought to that one :?

Covered 190 miles today checking out alternative roads - we are still working on improving last years route but will keep you informed. :thumbsup:

You certainly have driven along some interesting roads Paul, the road in the last picture looks a tad water logged though :lol:
