Had a good run out yesterday - hope the weather and traffic are as kind next week-end.

I'll PM the route to those listed above, and I've got a pdf with a map too that I can e-mail out (or someone cleverer than me can host) if you want - otherwise I'll photocopy and distribute on the day.

Start point : Sutton Bank Visitors Centre (like last time) postcode YO7 2EH on A170 at top of Sutton Bank (Suggest we use the last car-park just past the centre building where the loos are located) - Aim to depart at 10, will aim to arrive at 9.30
Lunch : Whitby - We're probably gonna Q for Magpie take-away!
Finish point : Helmsley Long-stay car-park
Extended finish point : Stokesley Costa Coffee for those wanting to do the B1257 again (especially useful for those travelling north afterwards)

Think we might have found a decent photo spot, here's some of Kate's from yesterday...

Kate spotters can just about make her out in the blind spot section of the last photo! :camera:

Us - black baby roadster
Possible - weather dependent.
If it isn't a top down day I don't think we will attend but could you pencil us in please?

Finisterre, will do. Let me know beforehand either way. Route available by PM, but yours seems to be blocked. Always interesting to put faces to new names. Tony.

Gutted but I can't come now ;-( please tell me there are goin to be other meets soon!!

Back in Oct 2010 clicky here we ran a route based around Helmsley / Blakey Ridge / Whitby and Dalby Forest Drive and there were some cracking roads around there that I'm keen to explore again.

Best dates for me Sun 29 April, Sun 6 May (Bank Hol on 7th which could be an issue) or Sun 13 May - NOW CONFIRMED SUN 13 MAY

Open to suggestions for routes, 'cos I don't know the area well, but from last time:

Likes :
Blakey Ridge (Hutton le-hole to Castleton);
B1257 from Helmsley to Stokesley ('ish);
Sandsend car park and slipway

Disliked :
Retro Tractor Rally convoy
Dalby Forest Drive

Would quite fancy maybe a northern loop from Helmsley (B1257 and Blakey) and then either one south and west, or one via somewhere near Goathland.

Anyone fancy a trip out, and anyone got any good roads that demand to be taken?

EDIT - Can't promise to see these motors, but can promise to see these roads :) Autocar clicky

How quickly do you think people go on these meets?! Just sit towards the back of the pack and use the route map Tony gives you if you get left behind. I doubt you'll need it as with 15+ cars there will always be somebody in view. :wink:

i find the back can be faster, you end up playing catch up all the time

i try to stay near the front

i'm happy to take a slower scenic route
