A fine looking route. I shall get the ordnance survey maps out, See where we can stop off to go for a walk. We should be able to come along for at least the first half/ third. It will be a great day.

Am I missing something :? Can't see the route on here.
Is their a meeting time on Friday at the b&b so I can judge my 4.5 hour trip up

Hi 2dogs, I did post the route but, Bing advised I take it down as we never know who's watching.
FRIDAY
Firstly let me tell you I carn't get enough of my car or my motorbikes So my plan for the Friday is drive down from Wakefield to Horseshoe Pass (5* Breakfast at the Pondarosa Cafe which sits at the top of Horseshoe Pass up in the clouds) onto Aberystwyth then back via Elan Valley, Lake Clywedog and Lake Vymwy
Your choice, you could join me at either Aberystwyth or Rhayader midday or at the B&B and I'll take you on a "Extreme" night excursion . Same goes for, I think its machine monkey who lives at Oxford.

And I wish I could join you "EPIC" journey. Are you going to be Brave/Stupid and risk coming up through Greece, Macedonia and Kosovo or make your way up through the Italian Dolimites and the Austrian Alps onto Switzerland or even across to Andorra and the Spainish Pyrenees, Bilboa. Sold my Lotus to a Guy who lived in Turkey and I ended up delivering it to him all expenses paid as it was a third of the cost of shipping But there's no FUN to be had driving in those war torn countries.

I never quite understand some peoples business brains, and how they have managed to keep their businesses running.... I mean - this meet could have even led to a yearly meet and return custom. Fools. :thumbsdown:

Hi Everyone,
having been refused a double bed in the family room, after filling all the other rooms at the B&B I have CANCELLED our booking with Glenwood house. Asking us to fill the other 3 beds is just a tad to greedy for my liking.
So will now get busy to see if anyone else will take us on.

Am looking to do a tour end March of Scotland via the Lake District & North Wales before the hoards descend in the summer months, though since my other half's not a fan of enthusiastic hooning, I might just end up passing you the other way...
