The sunday road from ruthin to mold via horseshoe pass actually goes right past my family home so that would be ideal......

I used to live in that part of the country,Llanarmon yn Ial.We tend to back there once a month to walk on Clwydian range.
I have not put my name down for the run as yet as not sure we are free that w/e

ha my best mate used to get the bus to llanarmon yn lal...i stopped at cadole and he carried on once i got off..not a big village so u prob know them....the Wheeler family? My mate used to be a knob so maybe when u were there he was still a dick....hes grown up now
him and his dad were into their bikes too....

I don't the family, they must have moved into the village after I had moved to Wrexham.I worked in Mold for about eight years so passed though Cadole many times,a nice area to live.
I only ever once went to the Butchers arms, our watering hole used to be the Loggerheads.

My Mrs is from Wrexham and spend lots of time in Chester, mainly Pulford. That's why I'm still toying with this trip over the European trip

A really nice place to live, with three good locations for wedding reception/hotels close by.

Sadly one of our airplanes has been shot down :(
Sorry to loose you Nova, turn the negative into a positive and put your name down for the Alps trip in September

Hi, as this isn't too far away from Bolton... If the last room is still free, the mrs and I will attend. It would be good to meet everyone as I'm new to the forum. I have never been on a group hoon before so go easy on us.

We would like to go walking one day, just trying to decide which. Can you post a route map for each day? Do I ring up and book directly?

Hi twist,
Welcome to the forum. twist944 and you drive a Z4 :? that must be your other car!!!!!
Love to have you come along, sadly we've lost Nova so you can have their double, just let me know wether you want the Fri/Sat or just Sat night also most of us are having a group evening meal (saturday) at the Royal Oak Hotal menue is around here somewhere. We are definitely keen on having our tea with you in the royal oak. The hooning is less decided, I think we shall look at the weather and route, maybe drop out for a walk up/circuit of cader idris. It is going to be a tricky choice if it is a perfect walking day. Other walkers are welcome to join us for the bimble.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NORTH WALES WEEKEND
Just to give you some idea of what you might expect during the weekend. I appreciate some of you who know North Wales will want to go off and do your own thing, but for others it may be a case of a first visit or would just like to drive in a group and get to know other members of the forum. So I will be doing a guided tour of North Wales on the Saturday & Sunday. As follows

Saturday 23rd March 2013. Meet in the lay by opposite Swallow Falls Hotel 9.30ish for 10am drive
Milage around 200 miles
Time 6/7 hrs But depending on the amount of photographs taken, we can cut short to suit, to check in at B&B around 5/6pm
EVENING MEAL 7/8pm
I can highly recommend the Royal Oak in the village and I could organise it, that we sit together if we would like?
MENUE http://www.stables-bistro.co.uk/pdf/stables-bar-menu.pdf

Sunday 24th March. Meet at the lay by opposite the Swallow Falls Hotel 9.30ish for 10am drive
Breakfast is served from 8am to 8.45am, for those stopping at Glenwood B&B
Milage around 130 miles to Bala Lake (coffee) then split but for anyone heading for M56 I shall be travelling on up the A494 through Ruthin and Mold (nice road) for M56 or If anyone interested we could do (Horse Shoe Pass)
Time 4/5 hrs

SO WOULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE JOINING THE DRIVE ON THE SATURDAY OR THE SUNDAY OR BOTH!
IF YOU WOULD LIKE MEAL ROYAL OAK ON THE SATURDAY EVENING
Thanks Mitchy

A fine looking route. I shall get the ordnance survey maps out, See where we can stop off to go for a walk. We should be able to come along for at least the first half/ third. It will be a great day.

If its ok, we will just stay the Saturday night. We would like to go walking on the Saturday, have our meal with you guys on the Saturday night and out for a hoon on the way home with you on Sunday.

Guys, can I make a wee suggestion... Routes are not normally made public, just in case they attract unwanted attention. Might be better to take it down and PM it around those that are going ?

Just an idea...

Oh, and it looks great BTW, wish I wasn't so far away :(

Without the fear of turning this site into a Ramblers forum!! A walk down the Aberglaslyn Gorge from Beddglelert is one of the best "BIMBLES" you can do in North Wales down to the road bridge and back the other side following the river down through the gorge about 2 hours or you can carry on over the top of Cwm Bychan luvly waterfalls on the way up and onto to Lake Dinas follow river back to Beddglelert passing the copper mine museum, finishing off with a award winning ice cream from Glaslynices 20+ ices to choose from or you might like to finish with a cornish cream tea proper "Cornish Cream" 4 hours.
Also a walk around Lake Peris is a nice bimble (LLanberis) watch them scuba dive in the old mine quarry, talking with a diver once and he told me its around 120 ft deep in places and crystal clear! 2/3 hours steady.
Thers's loads of walks to be had but those 2 are on our route. If you want to get into the clouds let me know.
Hope this helps with your adventures

Is it to late to join the fun? looks like I will still have the the car by than , just me single room on my own and dinner sat night

Cheers Mitchy. personal recommendation carries weight and I don't know the area, we will probably go for one of those. Ta.
