I have been pulled for the plate in the past, but a lot of the time I think they have better things to do/can't be arsed.

Only time I tend to get stopped for it is when I'm driving home late at night and I pass/see a police car when there's nothing else around, and clearly they have nothing else to do. It does cause a few, "oh great - here we go" moments, but i just put up with it, since it looks so pretty without it :P

So far never had anything more than a telling off....

when they stop you, what do you say?
It looks good now beat it :D

Probably it just fell off sorry!

Just say its a special magnetic number plate and some chav musta nicked it when you was at Tescos lol

It fell off, bumper was just resprayed (before it was stone chipped anyway, anything really... I don't try to be cocky, just admit that it should be on there and apologise and say i'll get it fixed. Don't tend to see the same coppers very often though I guess. Have had one guy stop me a second time though which was a bit awkward, since it was 6 months later. I guess if it did get to the point where I was getting a lot of hassle for it I would sort something out, but whilst I can get away with it I'll try it on...

I always have the plate in the car mind you, under the pass seat, and sometimes will slap it on the dash if need be or think there may be trouble!

Anyways, when's this next run..?. :D

Lucy, where's those pics?? :poke:

I generally estimate it takes me 3 minutes per picture to download, edit a RAW into a finished JPG and make ready for uploading. That's with some basic cropping, colour correction, sharpening and tweaking. I tend to work on a ~40% hit rate of keepers to deleters depending on the job.

So, for the 392 pics I think Russ had taken that's about 157 which are probably keepers, 3 minutes per picture is 471 minutes or 7.85 hours of work to get them all edited.

That's at least a full days work for most of us and that doesn't include uploading or linking to the forum, so, c'mon peeps, give 'em a break, I'm sure they'll be worth waiting for :)

sterling grey 54 plate roadster with 108's. Hope that helps
I tried to get around to saying Hi to most people - sorry if I missed you out! Do you run a private plate on your roadster? If so then I think I parked near you at the first lake stop - I'll say Hi properly next time

That could have been me - I was GriffithSkyle's car-twin with the other sterling grey roadster with the plate S1FTA :)

I've a feeling there were 3 sterling grey roadsters actually - with all the shiny shiny to look at I think I went a bit snow blind :)

I think next time I'm just going to say "Hi, I'm Siftah/John Baxendale - what's your nick on the forum?", I don't think anybody would mind and in retrospect it'll make life easier! :)

(I was the blonde haired bloke with the unkempt hair, creased jeans and ché guevara t-shirt. Unshaven and probably smelling of booze.)

Had you spotted early - dramatic entrance at Queensferry remember! Also we sat side by side at Starbucks (with Woots on my other side)

tweed and lucy were the 2 most destinctive, Lucy as a pair of boobs and Tweed is 7'6", every 1 else i got confused with

Ah, of course! I'd sort of guessed but I wasn't 100% :)

Dramatic, yes, that's, err, that's the look I was going for

Tweed folded himself into my passenger seat whilst we waited for the Manc / Sheff convoy - god knows how he drives! And for Taz spotters, he's the one getting in the way of my photo of the convoy parked up at the lakeside! (Don't have a picture of the mysterious Mrs Taz though)

I find the Z quite roomy actually, no rear seats = more driver's leg room :)

First 3 cars I had, I had to move the rails back 2"!

Haha, yes listen to Siftah! He has a full time job as well you know he's not just a photographer! Well he's edited some up in the spare time he's had so far, but he will be doing more. He's posted the ones he's done on his Facebook account. When they are uploaded to Facebook they are compressed and lose quality, so I was going to get them off his laptop when I can to upload the proper versions. But that doesn't seem to be able to happen at the moment so I will copy the codes from Facebook in just a moment...

Right here we go...!

More on the way...

Like I said though, when they are uploaded to Facebook they are compressed and lose quality. So when I have the time and can get Russ' laptop I will post the proper versions.
