give woots credit lol, i was behind him for 1 section and he did do ok considering lol
That was down to the lightweight nature of the car, having 1/3 of the engine cut off to save weight :P
Plus we were cutting a huge hole in the air for him to slipstream us.

Woot's Blue flash did him proud today, he was even turning down the offer of £2 in cash just to keep the weight down to ensure no lack of performance

Unfortunately, I was having too much fun driving and chatting to actually take any decent pictures, but I did get a couple of snaps: http://www.flickr.com/photos/siftah/sets/72157623832280230/

The picture of the day which I think we all took, (risking life and limb in the process):

Cracking day everyone, had a great time and it was great to put faces to names, just a shame I didn't get to speak to everyone but there's always next time

And it's been said before but it's worth saying again - thanks SammyZ for organising the day, great route and very enjoyable, well done on the weather too, cheers!

He was flying, the way he was sling-shotting out of those roundabouts if he'd not told us it was a 2.0 I wouldn't have noticed! :)

Wow some great piccies already! Love Tony's comment about photochopping out Lucy haha!! Wouldnt bloody get outta the way!

Had a fantastic day, possibly the best run i've been on yet! Thanks to John for a great route and all the organisation... Loved the dual carriageway bridge/roundabout sprints at the end, and all the Starbucks freebies ;) Perfect end to a great day!!

Now WHERES MY AFTERSUN ARRRGHHHHHH

Absolutely awesome day, thanks Sammyz! The route was fantastic, I'd do it again tomorrow if anyone was up for it :driving:
Got home to find my outdoor cover had been delivered, so after a hard day, she's all tucked up cosy for the night!

Only regret is that I didn't get to talk to everyone!
One suggestion for next time; name tags! With real name & forum tag... Bit lame perhaps, but would help identify everyone! :)

Hear hear... always thought my car was gorgeous but seeing it next to some of the Ms there today, I have to confess, left me a little green-eyed!

I think I know what my next car will be... Only way to make a Z4 better - give it to the motorsports division and let them do what they've done :)

Best overheard comment of the day was when we pulled into the car park next to the lake (Bala?), a small child watched us all trot past and then tugged his dads sleeve and said "Dad, Dad, there was 22 racers, I counted 'em!".

(Not quite sure how he counted 22 but it was a great comment!)

Awesome day!
Cheers to Sammyz for organising! And great turnout.
Think the biggest cheer goes to the blueflash tho...what a machine...no issues (major) kept up with all the ///M's
You guys can keep your carbon roofs and racing seats....i'll just tootle about behind you using just under half a tank of petrol
In third/fourth gear no doubt
Great to see some new ppl too! No doubt ive already forgotten whos who but never mind

Great day! Great turn out and very good weather.

Some good and funny sites which included seeing the finest of the finest engines the one and only 2.0l 4 pot, my god did the crowds flock to see that lol! Also saw a woman who could not drive and not sure if she ever got to turn right?

Being behind Sixspeed and flatout it sounded like a race track all the time, such a nice note off them exhausts :D

Thanx Sammyz

I only used just over half a tank, but that was leaving it in 6th/7th in the 30 limits :poke:

Thanks to everyone for turning up and making such a great day.
Special thanks to Dan and his better half for running tail gunner.
Sorry so many were lost but then found :) sort of biblical theme for a Sunday.

Some lovely cars, especially Woots and the blue flash. Very clean and scrubbed up well -the car was shiney too :)

Get those rusty hubs painted though Woots, your car would be even faster slicing through the air!

Amazing day!! Some good pics... can't wait to see some more... and some vids??

*sheepish*

I was full of fail on that front - I blame a combination of hangover and leaving the house late, else I'd have got some :(

Thanks for waiting for me too btw, that was me being a muppet and holding you all up - Sorry :(
