Hi All, your damn right it was a 'WTF' moment - but brilliant to see, wanted to turn around and catch up but there isn't many places around the lanes to do a swift U'turn :headbang: and the tyres are a bit expensive for a handbrake turn me thinks  hoping to catch you on the next run. :driving: :driving:
would have loved to have seen that :D

welcome to the forum

Welcome. I think I would have had a heart failure if that many Z's passed me by. Well done for staying alive/averting fatal accident etc.

Hi back (although we have already exchanged headlight flashes. I was about 8th in the queue :) ) You missed out on a great afternoon route - watch out in the meets section for the next one - a quick 3 point turn might have been 8) .

Welcome! I think I flashed, but by the time I realised I think you may have been nearly passed me!

Re my oil issue, she slurped up a whole litre of it this afternoon, when I checked the dip I realised there wasn't time to wait for a delivery so Halfords it had to be. Think I'm going to monitor from here on in as this is the second whole litre that she's needed since I got her in May. :(

Sounds alright that, I tend to have to stick in a litre for every 2k miles or so, perhaps more if it's being driven hard.

I use a litre on my 3k trip this summer and I had to fill up again for the Wales run. The warning you get on the dash changes colour, if it comes on when you stop the car it's an orange colour and just means you're about half way down the dipstick (half a litre used).

If it comes on red then it means you're at the bottom of the dipstick and need to fill it up sharpish! :)

If it comes on when you're driving then obviously, stop immediately :)

Blue, its not uncommon for these engines to use(as siftah said), from half a ltr to a ltr of oil ,every 3k mls,but some are less consuming than others. i get 3.5k mls, per 3/4 ltr topup(which is just every 5-6months for me,given my modest mileage),so nout too much to worry about :)

Back on topic/has nobody got any more pics of the Wales meet for posting? :driving:

Yes, but excess consumption of alcohol and various other indulgences have meant a lack of action on the picture editing front :)

I shall attempt to lead a less indulgent life and get back on top of them this week :headbang:

today i used car, first time since the trip, i filled up with petrol and calculated whilst on the run, the car did 30.62mpg, now that i would say is chuffin brill considering how we drove

Mine was circa 30 too - very surprised (but I did used to have an RX8 so anything beginning with a 3 is remarkable!)

Wonder where Siftah's photos are? :poke:

Taz/Guiseley - I was quite chuffed with my 26MPG too !

First chance I've had to clean the car since. There was an awful lot of brake dust to get rid of..... :driving:
