Hi Guys,

A few questions to answer...

* Why x2 Coupes? Mr Peppermint Z4M, Mrs Peppermint Z4C :D (Mrs Peppermint had Z4R before getting Cpe)

* Passengers of any age/gender allowed (last run chap in the GTR brought his daughter who is about 12) - It's up to the driver (your car, your insurance, your responsibility).

* We set off early primarily to get clear roads - The last run we set off 15mins later and the last 30miles we met a bit of traffic, everyone then requested a slightly earlier start. For those attending you will be amazed at some of the roads, that are really best enjoyed free of traffic. It also makes keeping the group together much easier.

There is another reason too which links to little traffic but I will let you work that one out :wink:

We had a few guys on the last run who never did an early Sunday morning run before - Suffice it to say they have signed up again for this one. It's really worth getting up early if you enjoy the thrill of driving on fantastic "drivers roads" :driving:

* Nigth Run - I sometimes run this route late at night on my own - I wouldn't organise a run at night due to too many hazzards (wildlife on country roads), reduced visibility, and drink drivers plus those out to catch them! :wink:

* I want to make this clear: IT IS NOT COMPETITIVE. We are on public roads and responsible driving is the order of the day - The roads will allow you to "Enjoy" your car when conditions are appropriate but no racing each other. The last run we had a similar mix of cars and there was absolutely no competitive driving, everyone was impecably well behaved - I expect the same on this run.

It is not about out-performing others but enjoying your car responsibly - We are all adults so should know what that means :thumbsup:

I do give a short briefing prior to setting off to remind everyone of protocol - The important thing is to drive safely and responsibly at a pace you are comfortable with - Everyone is responsible for their own safety and speed.

It is afterall a "Fun" run NOT a "Race"

Hi All,

Just 1 week to go...

The run will go ahead regardless of weather.

Due to the number attending I will have a couple of sweepers in order to assist in keeping the group together.

Please ensure you arrive as close to 6.45am as possible as I will be giving a short briefing at about 6.55am (departing at 7am)

Hand outs detailing the route will be available on arrival - However, like before, we look out for each other and work to keep the group together, so it is usually a case of simply following the car in front and making sure the car behind has seen where you have gone.

Other measures are also adopted to help keep us all largely together, which will be detailed in the briefing.

We have a varied and interesting list of cars which I think makes runs like this much more enjoyable, also it is great to have better support than before from Z4 owners.

We look forward to seeing you all on the day :D

Looking forward to it especially after the Santa Pod thing was a whole load of crap.....no Z4's ons how just lots of crappy Z3's!!

It was awful.....no new Z4's either.....just guys really really mod ding their cars with lots of fake carbon fibre and exhausts to make your ears bleed!!
 
bigshurv, you're travelling a long way! - Am impressed :) Do make sure you get there in time for the briefing and the off. :thumbsup:

m999psw, we hope to organise a couple more runs before the year is out - possibly a little further too (dates yet to be set).

Nickm, it is great to have a good showing of Z4's, we have been on Z4 only runs and have to say having done that, and mixed car runs, the mixed ones are much more enjoyable - Different sights and sounds, RWD, FWD, 4WD, Frt engine, Mid engine, Rear engine, 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, Flat 4, Staright six, V6, Flat 6, V8, Turbo, NA... Perfomance cars are so wonderfully varied its nice when the owners all come together to enjoy their respective cars on some great roads... It's petrolhead heaven :driving:
