Sounds like a great meet but I'm going to have to miss it :(
I'm in the process of moving into a new home and starting a new job in the Midlands this week

What a 'mare - 'cos this is starting on your doorstep! (Careful that Adele doesn't sneak the Z before you set off :D )
Any tips for good roads from yourself?

Try to get a last minute flight on the Monday for a 12 day holiday :)

Either way, we'll assume you're not coming at the minute, and be plesently surprised if you turn up. I'll PM you with my mobile so you can text yes / no on the day if required.

Still up for this,so is the car park at the top of Sutton bank a confirmed meeting point

Yes Start point at the top of Sutton bank - On A170 from Thirsk (National Park Visitor Centre - left turning about 100yds after the top of the bank - signposted Cold Kirby - NOT the one directly on the last bend)

Sutton Bank National Park Centre
Sutton Bank
Thirsk
North Yorkshire
YO7 2EH

The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is six miles (9.5km) east of Thirsk (or 7.5 miles (12km) west of Helmsley) at the top of Sutton Bank on the A170.

Toilets / Lots of parking / Somewhere to stand under cover / Visitors Centre with Coffee shop opens at 10 if it's damp!

Say 10 for a 10.30 departure?

I'll PM everyone my phone number so you can call if there are problems.

Tony, Sutton Bank is fine for me. See you there at 10.00am. Weather is looking very promising indeed. A big 'sun'for Sunday! Fish and chips and a bit of sunbathing in Whitby. :)

Hey you guys, not been around the forum for a while as i got a new job and its taken over my life quite a bit.

Cant make this as its my stag do this weekend and i will be mainly spending money on fine philleys at york races on sat followed by a similar theme is some gentlemens clubs on sat night, doubt i will be in any fit state come sun morning.

Have fun all and dont forget plenty of pics.

Sorry for the very slow reply, not been on here, it's been a busy week!

It is a pain, like you say it's just down the road from me! I'm away in my MINI as it's acting as a removal van, but the Zed keys are well hidden so it'll be safe
The road from Hutton-le-Hole to Castleton (Blakey Ridge) I think's the best around, great quick corners with good visibility, and also the road out of Helmsley, both of which I think have already been mentioned. There's lots of good ones around but I can't remember them off the top of my head, I'd need to look at my old MINI run notes which are at home to work them out. John suggested at the Lakes that I should organise one in my area, maybe I'll have to do that next year and incorporate them then :)

All, should still be on for tomorrow, with daughter as passenger. Mrs & youngest now not coming.

Looking forward to it - what's the weather like Yorkies?

p.s. Good news for Alpina fans, as we've had a late addition to the ranks who's got a S Lux for all you Roadster fans to lust over!

Me mate, will be hitting the A19 at about 9am from the south of Sunderland.

Sadly mine is not washed and is well covered in horse muck and general filth, I've not had time to so much as splash her with a hose this week so I've decided to go for the "dirtiest car of the day" award

I believe so, might just be able to watch the end of the race and make it for 10ish :)
