North East Meet - **Confirmed 10th October**

Hi guys,

This topic was discussed briefly in another thread so I thought I would put it up.

I’ve noticed more and more people from the north east area joining the forum recently so I thought I’d put the idea of a north east meet out.
Probably one weekend in October would seem the best time to do it before the winter weather sets in.
How about these dates as options?

Sat 16th
Sun 17th
Sat 23th
Sun 24th

We could either find a route (suggestions please) or make it more of a small drive and hide in a pub somewhere if the weather is bad.
I’m thinking a coastal route? Maybe a drive from Tynemouth to Bamburgh or something? All suggestions welcome as I’m sh!t with route planning

Obviously anyone from anywhere is welcome. Whoever would be game post your names and any well known, good routes on here and I will add them to the first thread. :D

Thanks

Richard

[Edit Wondermike - confirmed date]

Richard - Sounds good, but half-term starts Sat 23rd Oct (can you confirm your dates) so the week-end before might be better for me. Coastal sounds good, but I've got no idea about the roads around there.

I could possibly be up for this but only the weekend of 16th/17th, as I'll be celebrating being a year older the weekend after :)

you spending the weekend in a tree Taz? :)

 Good spot - though I thought Spud was the English teacher on here. Make him write it out three times in the margin :)

p.s. You fancy another trip out in the NE John?

p.p.s. Spotted another typo in his signature - 'Citizen' isn't spelt m-e-m-b-e-r !

I might pootle over to the far side for this :) Would be a nice change not to be at the front trying to drive at pace/not get lost/not loose 20 cars :D

so, is it loose or lose?

edit: lose your way - to become lost

i will tag along if the dates suit, Whitby could be a good run via gothland an helmsley?? any one know the roads

live in Newcastle, would be interested in this. Need to be sure of the weekend as Im working one or two in october, could swap them with notice.

As for routes, costal roads north of newcastle always seem to be busy, how about somewhere in county durham, very nice road between hexham and durham.

How about Pickering to Whitby (fish n chips at the Magpie),then head towards Guisborough and back across North York Moors to Pickering via Rosedale, only 65 miles though
