NORTH EAST 'HOONS' - 27 July and 3 August

Successful run last Sunday (27th see posted photos) and looking forward to repeating the run this Sunday (3rd)

Details below:

Chezsherman and I did this run a couple of months back - seek out our posting for some photos.

From Newcastle on some of mine and Steph's favourite back roads to Hexham (tea/coffee stop) from there onto the fabulous A686 to Alston and Hartside Café down the other side to Melmerby and back for lunch at Hartside café. Back to Hexham and then to Blanchland and the south and north road around Derwent reservoir and if time, follow the river valley to Wylam Classic car café for tea/coffee and a finish to Newcastle. We had a great run with fantastic weather and clear roads last month - (that bits all luck on the A686). The run includes a range of roads and includes plenty of places where we can regroup if needed. The back roads will be fun, the scenery at some points fantastic, there are sections where we can relax and enjoy the run and others that are more technical and demanding. If you're hesitating, do come along and you'll enjoy another aspect of owning your Zed. We've just got back from the National meet and it's wonderful getting out on the roads with other Zed owners. MEET AT - Kingston Park Tesco carpark for a start at 10am (Fuel and toilets available)
(Take Newcastle Airport exit from the A1. At the exit roundabout: From the South take the 2nd exit - from the North take the 4th exit - follow K'Park lane markings. Turn right at the next small roundabout - straight on to the next roundabout and turn right into Tescos on the right).

Yep - know the feeling though August finds some on holiday - will add you as a possible and see what response we get before changing dates (we can do a run in August as well of course) :wink:

Sorry Paul, I'll be at the Silverstone Classic that weekend. August would be better for me. :thumbsup:
 
Mark me down as a possible please Paul. Would be great to attend if we are free, however I will probably travel down the day before and stay overnight locally, so might be asking you later if you know of any local hotels.

That's a couple for August - like I say we could do another run in August - still, see what the take ups like for July first.

Anyone in the North East free and fancy a Wed run sometime?

Ok BrianD - there's a Novotel with secured parking locally and a wide variety available within easy distance.

I thought you would have had a few more takers Paul, especially from the Scottish members. Where is everyone, especially adamski, angie4m and swiftly to name but a few, if we were lucky we might even been able to had a mini drive down from Edinburgh as an added bonus :driving:

Ad still be up for august aswell if we can gain some more interest and up the attendance.

Can't do 27th July I'm afraid Paul (Commonwealth Games) but could be available August sometime (early to mid August preferably). Hope this works out.
 
Reading through this thread looks like most are going to be available in august me and paul had discussed the first weekend (Sunday the 3rd) hope you don't mind me putting this date forward paul. If everyone is ok for this date should we make this official and the 27th for who wants to join in??
