Right here we go again, following on from the last NE meet I had mentioned that my mate in his 350Z may have been attending.

Following a late running session in the pub he had to unfortunately pull out and was absolutely gutted when he saw how fantastic all the pictures were when they started to appear.

Now we have been discussing this for some time but have finally decided to air the idea to public opinion, my mate Alex runs a lot of the meets on the 350Z forum and we are proposing a joint Z4/350Z meet.

DETAILS-

Route - http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=112388999730994948216.00048277ea2ddeab0b877

Meet - Scotch Corner Hotel car park (DL10 6NR) 9:30am leaving 10:00am, Sunday May 16th

ATTENDEES-

Guiseley
sixspeed
Rudd_2002
sammyz
Redzedfour
Spud
Siftah
Tweed
Johnny_Bravo

I will follow a similar route to last time although heading up to Tanhill Pub, the highest in the country, i have also cut out the bit between Hawes & Leyburn where we got stuck in all that traffic last time.

Sorry for some of the same roads but I really like them, i promise to sort a few more out in the summer covering the middleton area and the NY moors.

All welcome
Format will be similar to the previous meet, i.e. informal

Try to keep any inevitable banter good natured

I will put a link back to this topic on their forum too.

Cheers all,

Rob.

Robb - You have your first provisional booking! Never liked the Z's plasticky interior, but we can't all have taste :P
Let the banter begin!

Hi folks,

Im Alex, Al, Lexx or whatever else you wanna call me.
As Robb has said, we've decided to organising this joint Z run out.
Bit about me - Owned an RX8 for 4 years, and I was NE events organisor over there, and then had my 350z for 2.5 years and ended up Events organisor again!

Hopefully we'll get a good turn out for this, and have a good run and some good banter whilst we're at it.

I've kinda got a half baked idea to see if we can get a magazine feature (probably a very small one!) since this is a cross-continent marque meet which you dont see very often. But we'll see.

Take it easy.

too far to travel this time round, bumber

you just dont want to kill your wheels again do you :poke:

thought someone would bring that up :P, Seriuosly though I arrived in Sao Paulo yesterday, I'm back in back here for the next 3 month's, look's like I'll miss the national meet aswell its on the weekend I get back  with the wheels though had the director from the The Wheel Specialist on the phone on Tuesday, it's only taken 2 snotty e-mails and a phone call to the head office and several back to Glasgow to see what they can do, I don't think he was very impressed when I told him his company would be going nowhere my wheels in the future, the good news is the cheque for the tyre they damaged finally turned up yesterday

They are indeed Dotz. Dotz Hanzo infact 19x8.5 front, 19.9.5 rear.

I have 8 cars so far from the 350z-uk club.

Put me as a maybe for now. I'll confirm nearer the time like I usually do :)

This one, in the lakes at the start of July.

I might the wheels done again later in the year by a local (to me) company who I have just discovered, no powder coating in sight, just twin pack and several coats of laquer for £70 - 80 a wheel, might eveb get a few other bits touched up / resprayed, who know's.

i dont know how i managed to miss that post

RichardG, i was meaning to ask you. you know in a post a while ago you put up an image of how to tighten your handbrake by removing a bolt in the wheel. you havent got that available stil have you? if you have do you fancy posting it up? i need to do mine this weekend

Bummer, can't make this one. Getting brownie points by taking the caravan to a dog show for our lass. Don't think I would be able to keep up in the 4x4.
:(

Struggling for numbers here?

I'm at Japfest the day before, and will be wrecked on the Sunday, but will still be there!

Right, I'm not going to be able to make this I'm afraid. Booked flights to Marbella this morning for May 15th  Have a good one guys.
